«Life devoted to freedom and independence»

Today at the Palace of Culture of the University with the participation of the professors – teaching staff and students there was held the meeting «Life Devoted to Freedom and Independence» devoted to the 80 – anniversary of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the great statesman and politician Islam Abduganiyevich Karimov.
The action began with the film presentation about the First President. There were national anthems of the Republics of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan. The meeting was opened by the Rector of the University Akhmed Reymov, he told about the priceless heritage - the independence, left by the First President and the achievements in all spheres.
Also, the Chief of Spirituality Propaganda Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan K.Yusupov, the Executive Secretary of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan B.Ernazarov, the Associate Professor of the Karakalpak Literature Department and poet B.Genzhemuratov, the Chief of the Primary Organization of the Women’s Committee of the University I.Seytnazarova told about Islam Abduganiyevich Karimov’s life and activity, the reforms which were realized by him, his works which are of great value in upbringing of young generation.
During the action diplomas and memorable gifts were given to winners of the competitions held among the students devoted to the 80 – anniversary of Islam Abduganiyevich Karimov.
